Seniors Canada Day Celebration

Yuculta Lodge & New Horizons Care Facility

Salmon Festival wants everyone in the community to be able to celebrate Canada Day, so for those unable to travel downtown, Yuculta Lodge, New Horizons Care Facility and Salmon Festival take the Celebration to them.  Government and local dignitaries will be on hand to meet and greet the seniors and serve them tea and cake.

 

July 1 - Canada Day

Huck Finn Derby and Small Fry Derby 9AM to Noon at the Discovery Pier

This event is sponsored by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #373 and the Order of the Royal Purple #189.   Prizes will be awarded to the youthful participants between the ages of 4-7 and 8-12 for the biggest, smallest, prettiest, ugliest, fattest, skinniest and oddest catch.  All contestants must be accompanies by an adult and arrive equipped with their own fishing rod, line, reel and lure and wear an approved life jacket on the docks.   The Small Fry Derby is open to participants up to 3 years old and offers the challenge of snagging something in the fish pond to win cool prices.  Awards following the Derby

1 day Children's Festival

 

Shoppers Row in front of the Tidemark Theatre is the place to be on Canada Day to celebrate our nation's birthday as well as the joy of childhood.  Bring the whole family and join us in downtown Campbell River on July 1st from 10 am to 4 pm. 

 

Along with the outdoor fun are performances in the theatre
